Austin has 10 years of experience working in corporate strategy, consulting, marketing, and environmental finance. He assists MJB&A clients with business planning and modeling, financial analysis, and decision-making in environmental markets. His work has focused on renewable energy and energy efficiency finance, climate change and carbon offsets, pollution control, and investment analysis. He also leads the firm's business development efforts in energy efficiency.
Before joining MJB&A, Austin worked for the firm's London-based affiliate, Climate Change Capital (CCC), as a vice president responsible for developing the U.S. investment platform. Prior to working at CCC, Austin advised institutional private equity investors on investments in energy, natural resources, and real estate for Cambridge Associates. He worked previously for Booz Allen Hamilton, consulting to U.S. Government clients on energy and environmental issues, and advised a California-based non-profit on the development of new programs in hotel sector energy efficiency and electronics recycling. Before enrolling in graduate school, Austin worked for five years at an enterprise software firm as manager of strategy, marketing, and business development.
Austin holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management and a Master of Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. He graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature.
