Kathy provides research and strategic guidance to energy companies, including members of the
Clean Energy Group, regarding climate change and air quality regulatory and legislative
initiatives.
Kathy contributes to MJB&A's publication Environmental Energy Insights. Insights
includes articles on air pollution policy, legislation and judicial developments; air
pollution-related technology; global climate change; energy efficiency; and the science of such key
air pollution issues as mercury deposition and the public health risk associated with hazardous air
pollutants.
Prior to joining MJB&A, Kathy conducted environmental impact analysis, public outreach, and
project management related to proposed energy infrastructure projects on behalf of the California
Public Utilities Commission, California Energy Commission, and numerous local and regional planning
districts. She also previously provided public outreach support to the Massachusetts
Department of Environmental Protection.
Kathy holds a Master of Public Administration in Earth Systems Science, Policy, and Management
from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Urban and
Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia.
