The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (MassDEP) recently released a guide to diesel engine retrofits in the construction industry.  The manual was developed for MassDEP by the Northeast States for Coordinated Air Use Management (NESCAUM) and M.J. Bradley & Associates (MJB&A).  The principal author was Dana Lowell, a senior consultant at MJB&A.

The report, Diesel Engine Retrofits in the Construction Industry: A How To Guide, describes the health benefits associated with retrofitting diesel construction engines, the existing retrofit requirements in Massachusetts, what retrofits are available, and how to retrofit diesel engines in the construction industry.  It concludes with five case studies and a list of resources.
