LONDON - July 28 2008 Climate Change Capital ("CCC") is acquiring the US strategic
environmental consultancy, M.J. Bradley & Associates, it was announced today.
The move, for an undisclosed sum, is the latest in a series of strategic moves in the US by the UK
based investment banking group and fund manager dedicated to the low carbon economy. These
include the acquisition of the business and assets of Quality Tonnes, a carbon project developer, and
opening an office in Washington D.C. for policy and market development. CCC's activities
include investing, through its Carbon and Private Equity Funds, in companies and projects that help
mitigate climate change. CCC manages the world's largest private sector carbon fund.
Mark Woodall, Chief Executive, CCC said: "We are delighted to make this acquisition. The US is
at a tipping point in its attitude to climate change and we see the country as a huge growth area in the
investment opportunities created by reducing greenhouse gas emissions and addressing pressing issues of
energy supply security. We think that the US knowledge and insights that Michael and his team
have built up over the years are a perfect fit with the global expertise of CCC, and add to our
capabilities to raise and invest capital to decarbonise economies."
Michael Bradley, the founder, will remain in charge of M.J. Bradley && Associates, which advises over
100 companies on environmental and energy policy, technology and implementation. The firm has
offices in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Washington D.C.
Michael Bradley said: "The scale and the challenge in the low carbon area is such that it is the right
time to partner with an organisation that brings considerable technical knowledge and a thorough
understanding of how investment capital works in this environment, all with a global perspective, which
adds value to the services we offer our clients. Climate Change Capital fits that bill in
every regard and will enable us to achieve our expansion plans in North America."
