Brian advises energy sector clients on climate change related programs and policies at the state, regional and national levels including but not limited to greenhouse gas emissions reporting, carbon offset markets and protocols, new source performance standards, CO2 cap and trade programs and low carbon fuel standards.
Brian’s current efforts are focused on advising industry clients on the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, the Northeast and Mid Atlantic Low Carbon Fuel Standard, electric vehicle and natural gas vehicle infrastructure planning, the California’s AB32 cap and trade and Low Carbon Fuel Standard programs as well as other state and national climate change programs and policies.
Prior to joining MJB&A in 1998, Brian worked on state energy and environmental policy while at the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Environmental Affairs. Brian worked on policy issues ranging from alternative fuel vehicles, to renewable energy and watersheds.
Brian holds Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Environmental Studies from Providence College ('96) where he was a student athlete for four years on the men’s soccer team. Brian is married with two daughters and resides in Framingham, Massachusetts where he is active as a Town Meeting member and a youth soccer coach.
