David Seamonds

Staff Engineer

Dave supports MJB&A in the evaluation and implementation of emissions reduction technologies for heavy-duty vehicles, off-road equipment, marine vessels, and locomotives. Most recently, he has been involved with marine SCR emission testing, in-use data collection and analysis of hybrid school buses as well as installation support for locomotive diesel oxidation catalysts and auxiliary power units. He also provides technical support for industrial air quality management initiatives and projects. In addition, Dave lends editorial support to various technical reports and publications.

Prior to joining MJB&A, Dave worked for MiltonCAT, the New England representative for Caterpillar engines and equipment as a diesel engine specialist. He diagnosed and repaired diesel engines in marine, mobile, and power generation fields. Dave has experience with OEM data and diagnostic software used to test and analyze engine operation and for emission and performance optimization.

Dave holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy as well as a Coast Guard 3rd Assistant Engineers License. He also holds certificates for Electro-Motive diesel engine technical service training.

Dave enjoys running and skiing with his MJB&A colleagues in addition to spending time with his wife and kids.
