Chris brings a range of technical skills to various project efforts at MJB&A, including environmental regulatory expertise, economic analysis, geographical information system (GIS) analysis, programming and database management. Chris provides critical support for the Clean Energy Group (CEG), a coalition of electric generating companies committed to responsible environmental stewardship. Chris has been actively engaged in the development of the Group's Integrated Air Quality Strategy, developed and manages the CEG website, prepares responses to federal regulatory proposals on behalf of the Group, and managed the Group's Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) initiative, including the joint effort between CEG and the Natural Resources Defense Council to report on utility air toxics emissions.
In addition to the support he provides on these specific project efforts, Chris also tracks on a daily basis important energy and environmental policy developments for CEG, provides analysis of environmental policies and regulatory proposals, and serves as assistant editor to the monthly CEG publication Environmental Energy Insights.
Prior to joining MJB&A, Chris worked as an Analyst in the Environment Practice of Abt Associates, where he specialized in the economic analysis of environmental regulatory programs. In addition to economic regulatory support and program evaluation, Chris designed and programmed advanced websites for EPA's Office of Compliance and Design for the Environment (DfE) program.
Chris received a Bachelor of Science degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where he studied environmental economics, and a Masters degree in environmental policy from the London School of Economics.
