With over 20 years of experience working in environmental and corporate strategy, Brian provides strategic advice on climate change and sustainability issues to MJB&A clients. His current efforts are focused on decarbonization strategies and the role of utilities, corporate sustainability strategy, and public disclosure. Brian manages MJB&A's Downstream Natural Gas Initiative – a coalition of leading natural gas utilities that collaborating to build a shared vision for the role of utilities and the gas distribution network in the transition to a low-carbon future. DSI is focused on opportunities to leverage the existing infrastructure to support near- and long-term environmental and economic goals, and to address key technical and regulatory challenges related to these goals and opportunities.
Brian also manages MJB&A’s Utility Electric Vehicle Initiative – a group of leading electric utilities collaborating to address key market, regulatory and technical factors affecting the growth of the market for electric vehicles. The mission of the EVU is to advance the electrification of the transportation segment through consumer engagement and education by creating utility programs that help accelerate EV charging infrastructure deployment and by integrating EVs into the electric grid for the benefit all electric customers.
Prior to joining MJB&A in 1998, Brian worked on state energy and environmental policy while at the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Environmental Affairs. Brian holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Providence College.
