Sophia is a policy analyst at MJB&A, providing clients with analysis of regulatory and policy initiatives on energy, climate change, and air quality issues to MJB&A clients. Sophia provides support for the Clean Energy Group, a coalition of electric power companies committed to promoting effective environmental policy options in the areas of air quality and energy, as well as for the Downstream Natural Gas Initiative, a group of leading natural gas utilities collaborating to address key technical and regulatory challenges related to the role of natural gas in a low carbon future.
Prior to joining MJB&A, Sophia served as a policy intern for the New York State Attorney General’s Office in their Bureau of Environmental Protection. Other past internships include the NYC Mayor’s Office of Sustainability, NYSERDA, and the Pace Energy and Climate Center.
Sophia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in sustainable development from Columbia University, where she focused on climate and energy policy. In her free time, she enjoys biking, hiking, and seeing live music.
