This MJB&A Issue Brief explores key standards and initiatives that are underway to help improve interoperability of electric vehicle charging stations across the U.S. The brief first explores why interoperability plays an important role in supporting a robust electric vehicle ecosystem, followed by an explanation of the standards that are in place and developing across the U.S. to encourage and support interoperability. In conclusion, the brief details recent partnerships between charging providers and other market players as well as regulatory and legislative activity in states to implement interoperability and standards.
